Your settings

Settings holds your own preferences and your team's set-up. To reach it, open the menu at the right of the header and select Settings.

The page has two sections. User settings is yours alone, and applies wherever you sign in; this page is a reference to what it holds. Team settings covers the teams you belong to and the people in them — see Manage your team.

Your settings follow your account, not the team you are working in. Changing one takes effect straight away, across the app.

General

A read-only table of Setting and Value rows, listing what is turned on for your account. There is nothing to change here — it is a record of what you have, useful when you are checking whether a part of the app is available to you. The entries Tiro Pro keeps for its own bookkeeping are left out of it.

Preferences

Toggles that change how the app behaves for you.

Toggle What it does
Advanced mode Reveals the app's advanced sections. See Where advanced mode shows up.
Events feed Shows the Events control in the header.
Enable transfer of documents Shows Transfer Document among the actions on the documents table's floating bar, alongside the other actions that apply to a whole selection.

Where advanced mode shows up

Advanced mode does not add a section of its own. It unlocks the more technical parts of pages you already use, each of which then decides for itself what to show:

Document action bar

Four toggles — New document, Templates, Organise, and Document navigator — decide which controls appear in the action bar beneath the header. Turn one off and it stops taking up room; turn it back on and it returns. For what each of the four opens, see Around the app.

Help text

Help text appears in place throughout the app, and each piece can be dismissed once you no longer need it.

Reset all brings all of it back. The button is always in this block, and becomes available once you have dismissed at least one piece of help. Select it and every dismissed tip shows again. See Around the app.
